Using the Payment Plug-in in "Test Mode"

For merchants that wish to try the Payment Plug-in, Special Edition for QuickBooks without processing live transactions, we offer the option to use our test environment with no obligation.

To try out the Plug-in, follow these steps:

1. Run the Skipjack Payment Panel Plug-in Setup (please refer to the installation steps on the Payment Plug-in installation page).

2. Once the setup is complete, start your QuickBooks application.

3. Select "Open a Sample Company" on the QuickBooks start up page where it asks which company you would like to use. Select either "Sample product-based business" or "Sample service-based business". (If QuickBooks automatically opens your Default business, select File and then select "Close Company". You will then be taken back to the QuickBooks start page).

4.Once the Sample company is open you will be able to test transactions without impacting your "live" QuickBooks information. (Note that, after installing the Plug-in in test mode and running your "live"/default QuickBooks account, you will be prompted with a security warning that says "The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?". Select "Cancel" so that the Plug-in is not accessible through your live QuickBooks account).

Do not use live credit card numbers through this test account. Instead, use the following test credit card information:

Credit Card #: 4445999922225
Expiry Date: Any date in the future
Maximum dollar amount to receive an approved payment response: $150.00.
To receive a declined payment response, use any dollar amount greater than $150.00.
