Skipjack Launches Virtual Terminal Payment Solution
Cincinnati, Ohio – March 14, 2006: Today, Skipjack Financial Services, Inc. announced that it is launching Virtual Terminal; a comprehensive order processing, transaction management and reporting application designed to meet the needs of any business that processes mail order/telephone order (MOTO) or retail payments.
Virtual Terminal allows merchants to capture a wide range of payment information and store this on Skipjack’s servers for future data mining purposes. No software installation is required since Virtual Terminal is accessed via secure web browser. In addition, any number of operators can access the application without “per seat” license fees.
Virtual Terminal’s built-in reporting tools enable merchants to quickly locate any transaction or group of transactions. Once located, a number of operations can be performed on them, including void, refund (full or partial), re-authorize (authorize an approved transaction for a different amount) and re-bill (generate an entirely new transaction based on another transaction’s credit card and customer data).
Other features include:
- The ability to collect, store and retrieve customer, order, address and reference information as well as up to ten “custom” fields
- Card swipe or key entry support means that merchants can use Virtual Terminal in both retail and MOTO (Mail Order/Telephone Order) environments
- Recurring billing support allows transactions to be periodically authorized using one of nine different payment schedules (e.g. weekly, monthly, annually). This eliminates the need for merchants to store credit card information in possible violation of Payment Card Industry (PCI) security standards
- Built-in fraud detection reduces the risk of fraud by supporting Address Verification Service (AVS) and Security Code (e.g. CVV2, CVC2) data
- Fast processing time (under five seconds) reduces customer wait time
